25pr Short Mark 1
The
25pr Short Mark 1 (
Baby 25pr) was an
Australian 25-pounder
howitzer, first produced in
1943. This was a shortened version of the standard 25pr, mounted on the Carriage 25pr Light, Mark 1. The Baby 25pr was intended for
jungle combat and was used in
Southeast Asia and the
Pacific, during
World War II. The
jeep-towable
gun could be broken down into 13 sections.
