Addressability

In telecommunication, the term addressability has the following meanings:

1. In computer graphics, the capability of a display surface or storage device to accommodate a specified number of uniquely identifiable points.

2. In micrographics, the capability of a specified field frame to contain a specific number of uniquely identifiable points.

Note: The addressability is usually specified as the number of identifiable horizontal points by the number of identifiable vertical points, such as 3000 by 4000.
