Alexander Siddig

Alexander Siddig (b. 21 November 1965), born Siddig el Fadil, is an actor, most famous for the role of Dr. Julian Bashir on the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He was born in Sudan but spent most of his childhood in England. From 1997 to 2001, he was married to fellow Star Trek actor Nana Visitor, with whom he had a son. He is the nephew of actor Malcolm McDowell (on his mother's side) and of former Sudanese Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi (on his father's side).
