Molinary became famous when she played the title character in television's Maripili, a comedy show similar to some American teenager comedy shows. The show, produced by Tommy Muniz's son Pedro Muniz (who also played Maripilis father) lasted from 1989 to 1991.
Molinary decided she would move to Rome to try it out as an Opera singer. She had much success there and lived in the European city for many years.
In the early 2000s, she moved to Philadelphia, where her success in Rome followed her. She met another famous opera singer there, and they married in 2003.
For the moment, she plans to expand her singing career from her adopted home city.
