Ambassador Bridge
The
Ambassador Bridge connects
Detroit, Michigan and
Windsor, Ontario. The bridge was the longest in the world when it was completed in
1929 - 1850 feet long in its central span. The total bridge length is 7500 feet and the roadway rises 152 feet above the
Detroit River. It is the busiest international
border crossing in
North America and more than 25% of all merchandise trade between the
U.S.A and
Canada crosses the bridge.
