America's Best Comics
America's Best Comics is a publisher of
comic books. It was set up by
Alan Moore in 1999 as an imprint of
Wildstorm, then a subsiduary of
Image Comics. Wildstorm was later sold to
DC Comics, to the chagrin of Moore, who had sworn years earlier never to work for DC again; Moore ultimately decided to accept his new situation, however.
Under this imprint, Moore has penned such well-regarded series as The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Top 10, Tomorrow Stories, Promethea, and Tom Strong.
