Arnold Gerschwiler
Arnold Gerschwiler died
August 22,
2003 at the age of 89 years of a heart attack. The Gerschwiler brothers from
Switzerland were trainers in
figure skating. From
1931 -
1992, Arnold ran the Richmond Ice Rink (
UK). He headed a team of up to 28 full-time teachers training skaters from all over the world, discovering 42 Champions, many from
London. As
his brother lived to 101 years, no one really expected Arnold to depart this mortal coil at such a sprightly 89 years.
