Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes is a
1978 film that attempted to
parody horror themed
B-movies. It is widely considered to be poorly made with unsophisticated
humor, but others believe it is a work of subtle genius.
The movies was directed by John De Bello and written by John De Bello and Costa Dillon.
The movie was co-written and produced (and acted in) by Stephen Peace, who was elected to the California State Assembly in 1982 and California Senate in 1993 where he authored the electricity deregulation bill that resulted in the California electricity crisis.
The movie spawned four sequels, which include:

- Return of the Killer Tomatoes! (1988)
- Killer Tomatoes Strike Back! (1990)
- Killer Tomatoes Eat France! (1991)
