The Babirusa or pig-deer, Babirousa babyrussa, is the sole member of its genus. It belongs to the pig family.
The Babirusa is a shy animal living in Indonesia. It is found in tropical forests and canebreaks, and on the shores of rivers and lakes. It has two pairs of tusks and a nearly hairless hide.
