Bacoor, Cavite
Bacoor is a
municipality in the province of
Cavite in the
Philippines. Its location just southwest of
Metro Manila has given it the nickname
Cavite's gateway to Metro Manila. Bacoor is one of the fastest growing municipalities in Cavite because of its location. During weekdays many residents commute from Bacoor to their places of work in the metropolis such as
Manila and
Makati City. Bacoor is the second most populous municipality/city in Cavite and has the highest population density.

Bacoor, with an area of 52.4 square kilometers, is located on the southeastern shore of Manila Bay, at the northwest portion of the province. To the east lies Las Piņas City and Muntinlupa City in Metro Manila, to the south is Dasmariņas, and to the west are Kawit and Imus. Bacoor is separated from Las Piņas by the Zapote River.
The municipality is divided into 73 barangays and is part of the 1st congressional district of Cavite.
Bacoor registered the highest average family income in Cavite in 1997 and 2000. Bacoor has developed into a site of commerce. SM City Bacoor mall and RFC Mall serve as the shopping haven of Bacoor residents. Bacoor has branches of 11 different commercial banks all over the municipality.
