Battle of Sapienza

In the Battle of Sapienza the Turkish navy defeated the Venetian navy after four days of battle: August 12, 20, 22 and 25, 1499. Antonio Grimani, admiral of the Venetian fleet, was arrested September 29 and eventually exiled.
