Bay rum

Bay rum is a distillate that was originally made from rum and the leaves or berries of the West Indian Bay tree, Pimenta racemosa. Other ingredients may be citrus and spice oils. It is traditionally used as a cologne or an after-shave. Its use was quite popular in the early 20th century; while still in use, it is no longer so common.
