Bharatiya Jana Sangh
Bharthiya Jana Sangh is the old name of Bharthiya Janata Party of
India. It was started by Shyama Prasad Mookerjee with the blessing of Shri Golwalkar Guruji of RSS on 21st October 1951 at Delhi and he became the first President of the party. The symbol of the party in Indian elections was lamp. After the party's bad showing in
1984, it was re-launched as Bharthiya Janata Party, which is the current ruling party of India.
