Black Rock is a city located in Lawrence County, Arkansas. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 717.

census2 of 2000, there are 717 people, 284 households, and 199 families residing in the city. The population density is 84.4/km² (218.6/mi²). There are 334 housing units at an average density of 39.3/km² (101.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 99.02% White, 0.00% Black or African American, 0.14% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.84% from two or more races. 0.28% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 284 households out of which 30.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.0% are married couples living together, 11.3% have a female householder with no husband present, and 29.9% are non-families. 28.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.52 and the average family size is 3.08. In the city the population is spread out with 27.5% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 24.0% from 25 to 44, 26.8% from 45 to 64, and 14.6% who are 65 years of age or older.
