Bradley Stoke
Bradley Stoke is an extensive
housing estate in South West
England to the North of
Bristol first planned in the
1970s. Although there is some provision for local employment, it is effectively a dormitory
suburb of Bristol. The planned population is approximately 25,000.
Due to extensive cost overruns and other financial problems during the initial part of construction, the estate became nicknamed "Sadly Broke" by Bristolians.
