The objectives of the Club, which was founded at a meeting of 15 members of the British Ornithologists' Union (BOU) in 1892. are the promotion of scientific discussion between members of the BOU and others interested in ornithology, and to facilitate the dissemination of scientific information concerned with ornithology.
