Britt Cobb
W. Britt Cobb, Jr is the current interim Commissioner of Agriculture for the state of
North Carolina. Cobb was appointed to his current position in June of
2003 following the resignation of Agriculture Commissioner
Meg Scott Phipps. Prior to his appointment, he served as assistant director of marketing for the department, a job he had held since
1991. In December
2003, he announced his candiacy for the Agricultural Commissioner position in the 2004 general elections.
