Capitol Limited
Amtrak's
Capitol Limited is one of the two routes connecting Washington, DC to Chicago (The other is the Cardinal). The Capitol Limited (Train 29 westbound and train 30 eastbound) runs on the tracks of freight railroads
CSX and Norfolk Southern Railroad. The Capitol Limited stops at the following stations:

- Harpers Ferry, West Virginia
- Martinsburg, West Virginia
- Cumberland, Maryland
- Connellsville, Pennsylvania
- Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
- Alliance, Ohio
- Cleveland, Ohio
- Elyria, Ohio
- Sandusky, Ohio
- Toledo, Ohio
- Bryan, Ohio
- Waterloo, Indiana
- Elkhart, Indiana
- South Bend, Indiana
- Hammond, Indiana
- Chicago, Illinois
The train leaves its origination point in the early evening and arrives at it's destination early the next afternoon. The ride between Washington and Pittsburgh has been described as scenic.
