Carbamoyl phosphate

Carbamoyl phosphate is a molecule that is involved in ridding the body of excess nitrogen in the urea cycle, and also in the synthesis of pyrimidines. It is produced from carbon dioxide and ammonia by the enzyme carbamoyl phosphate synthase.
