Caseville is a village located in Huron County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 888.

United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.0 km² (1.1 mi²). 3.0 km² (1.1 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.

Demographics

\nAs of the
census of 2000, there are 888 people, 432 households, and 241 families residing in the village. The population density is 300.8/km² (778.4/mi²). There are 698 housing units at an average density of 236.4/km² (611.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.52% White, 0.23% African American, 0.56% Native American, 0.34% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.11% from other races, and 1.24% from two or more races. 1.35% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race. There are 432 households out of which 19.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.9% are married couples living together, 6.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 44.2% are non-families. 39.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 23.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.01 and the average family size is 2.68. In the village the population is spread out with 18.4% under the age of 18, 4.8% from 18 to 24, 21.1% from 25 to 44, 29.3% from 45 to 64, and 26.5% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 49 years. For every 100 females there are 95.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 92.8 males. The median income for a household in the village is $27,065, and the median income for a family is $36,750. Males have a median income of $27,222 versus $20,982 for females. The per capita income for the village is $20,501. 13.5% of the population and 7.8% of families are below the poverty line.
