Charlotte Sting
The
Charlotte Sting are a
Women's National Basketball Association team. They play at the
Charlotte Coliseum in
Charlotte, North Carolina and they were one of the eight original teams that began to see action in
1997.
Robert Johnson founder of
BET purchased the team in January
2003.
The Sting will move into the Bobcats' new home, Uptown Arena, in 2006.
