Chris Barnes

Chris Barnes was one of the founding members and the singer of the famous death metal band Cannibal Corpse. He's mainly known for being in Cannibal Corpse, but also for his VERY deep growls (done without using any vocal harmonizer), which are responsible for much of the dark and sick atmosphere on the first few Cannibal Corpse releases. He was kicked out of the band during the recording of their 1996 release Vile and now concentrates on his other band Six Feet Under, which was initially formed as a side project in 1993.
