Coracoid
In human beings, the
coracoid process is a small hook-like structure that comes off the
scapula to point forward. It is the site of attachment of the coracobrachialis muscle and pectoralis minor, as well ligaments linking it to the
clavicle.
Coracoid in itself means "like a raven's beak", which indicates it's structure.
In birds and reptiles (others?), the coracoid is a separate bone.
