Corona del Mar, California

Corona del Mar (Spanish, "crown of the sea") is an area of Newport Beach, California, comprising the 92625 ZIP Code but generally considered as meaning all land on the seaward face of the San Joquin Hills east of Avocado Street to the city limits. A once-rural upscale community settled early in the 20th century, Corona del Mar consists mostly of free-standing detached single family houses of varying architecture, with businesses such as restaurants, galleries, and boutiques concentrated along California State Route 1.

The town contains a large and well-maintained public beach open to the ocean but protected from most large surf by the Newport harbor entrance jetties.

Corona del Mar has no locally administered municipal government, but receives all municipal level services from the City of Newport Beach, and is represented before the Newport Beach City Council.
