Cowboy Mouth
With a name procured from a Sam Sheperd play,
Cowboy Mouth are a
rock band based in
New Orleans, Louisiana. The nucleus of the band joined up in the early
1990s, and climbed the ladder from opening act living in a van to a powerhouse live act that has been called "a religious experience" by more than one music journalist.
- Singer and drummer Fred LeBlanc (formerly of Baton Rouge based power trio Dash Rip Rock, among others)
- Guitarist and singer Paul Sanchez (Credits include New Orleans band The Backbeats and Production Assistant on a number of movies)
- Guitarist and singer John Thomas Griffith (formerly of the Red Rockers, purveyors of the early 1980s hit, China and subsequent tour with U2)
- Bassist and singer Mary LaSang (Band's newest member, also a south Louisiana native)
- (Former members include veteran bassists and Louisiana institutions Steve Walters and Rob Savoie)
