Cultural Leftism

Cultural Leftism is an intellectual leftist movement that originated in Europe in the inter-war period under the Great Depression (1920's and 30's.)

It is considered as a renewal of the radicalism of Georg Brandes and Friedrich Nietzsche and is associated with a diverse catalogue of intellectuals, architects, artists, writers and politicians, emphasising that it was indeed a new movement, that changed the way a lot of people saw the world and themselves.

The cultural radicals settled the score with the established norms and encouraged new ideas and perspectives.

It was also a parting with a lot of ideologies, such as conservatism and conventialism and resulted in a broadening of the political apparatus.
