As a musical genre, Cyberpunk varies. The first usage of the term for a style of music was the
Voivod 'Nothingface' album, which was inspired by
William Gibson's
Neuromancer novel. This was the closest to 'punk' that the genre has produced. The music was a very interesting psychedelic thrash metal with great song writing & production.
