Danner, Oregon
The "town" of Danner is located near
Jordan Valley, Oregon in Malheur County. It was named after J.H. Danner, one of the pioneer settlers in the community. The old Idaho-Oregon-Nevada Highway ran through Danner, though the town is now off the main road and basically deserted.
Danner is the location of the grave of Jean Baptiste Charbonneau, the son of Sacajawea. He died in Danner in 1866 while passing through on a stagecoach. His gravesite was entered into the National Register of Historic Places in On March 14, 1973.
