David Foster Wallace
David Foster Wallace (born
February 21,
1962 in
Philo, Illinois) is an
American writer. He is a recipient of the
MacArthur Fellowship, commonly known as the Genius Grant. He taught at Illinois
State University for most of the 1990s. He then began teaching at
Pomona College in the fall of
2002.
