Dawn of the Dead
The
Dawn of the Dead was the second film in
George Romero's
Living Dead series of films (after
Night of the Living Dead). It was filmed in
Monroeville, Pennsylvania. The plot concerns a small group of living humans who, after the collapse of society because of a
zombie plague, create a sanctuary in a shopping mall. The film
satirises and parodies materialism, and was followed by
Day of the Dead.
