De La Salle University
De La Salle University (
DLSU) is one of the leading universities of the
Philippines. It is a Catholic university founded by the Brothers of Christian Schools in
1911 as
De La Salle College. It was an institution of learning exclusively for boys until
1973 when it opened its doors to women. It was granted a University charter in
1975. Presently DLSU is a university system made up of eight autonomous institutions providing primary and secondary levels of education as well as undergraduate and graduate degrees.
