The third and current Lord Vestey is Samuel Armstrong Vestey of Stowell Park near Northleach. His Great Grandfather was the first Lord Vestey.
In 1876 William Vestey, born 1859-died 1940 (later to become the first Lord Vestey). At seventeen years of age, was sent to Chicago by his father Samuel Vestey, a provisioner of Liverpool England. William managed a meat canning factory that was financed by his father. In 1915 to 1918 the Vestey families moved to Chicago then to Argentina and back to England. While in Argentina the (England and the U.S.) 250 tax avoidance trusts were created.

Pakeha renamed Broderick Rangatira renamed BrodmoreJuly 28, 1911 registration of Blue Star Line in London and Liverpool, capital of 100,000 pound sterling.
It is said that by 1930 the Vestey Group had 30,000 employees world wide and and a net value of 300,000 pound sterling.
