Deutsche Post is a
German logistics,
post and courier business. It owns brands such as
DHL, Postbank, and the core business that of the German
post office. It used to be state-owned until its
privatisation in
2000.
In 2002 it was granted a licence to deliver mail in the United Kingdom, breaking Royal Mail's long-standing monopoly.
