Duke of Queensberry
The title
Duke of Queensberry was created in the
Peerage of Scotland in 1684. The
Marquess of Queensberry held the title of Duke of Queensberry until the death of William Douglas, 5th Duke of Queensberry, when the marquessate was inherited by Robert Douglas, while the dukedom was inherited by
Duke of Buccleuch.
