Earl Averill

Earl Averill (May 21, 1902 - August 16, 1983) was an American baseball player who played Major League Baseball from 1929 to 1941. Averill is a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

He was born in Snohomish, Washington, broke into the major leagues in 1929 with the Cleveland Indians. Averill played for the Indians until 1939 when he was traded to the Detroit Tigers. He played for the Tigers until 1941 when he was traded to the Boston Braves where he finished his career.
