Eggbuckland, Plymouth, England
Eggbuckland is now a residential area of Plymouth but in the Domesday Book of 1086 was called Heche Bockheland. This was the site of a Saxon Church which was replaced by the present church of St Edward in 1470. The area was occupied by the Royalist during the Civil War of 1642-1646 as they layed seige to the Parliamentary town of Plymouth.
