Ekpyrotic

The ekpyrotic universe or ekpyrotic scenario is a theory regarding the origin of the universe. It is sometimes called the "big crash" scenario because, in contrast to the Big Bang theory, which holds that the universe began in a rapid outward expansion from a gravitational singularity, it says that the Big Bang explosion was initiated when a parallel universe crashed into our own.
