The EMMC was formed from the Rudnerweider Mennonite Church, which was organized in 1937. The conference is currently (2003) made up of 35 congregations - 29 in Canada (Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, & Saskatchewan), two in Belize, two in Mexico, and two in the United States (Kansas & Texas). Offices are in Winnipeg, Manitoba. A convention is held annually. The EMMC is a member of the Mennonite World Conference.
The Evangelical Mennonite Mission Conference is a separate body from and should not be confused with the Evangelical Mennonite Church or the Evangelical Mennonite Conference.
