\nThe borough has a total area of 19,280 km² (7,444 mi²). 19,078 km² (7,366 mi²) of it is land and 201 km² (78 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.04% water.

The racial makeup of the borough is 77.79% White, 5.85% Black or African American, 6.90% Native American, 2.08% Asian, 0.30% Pacific Islander, 1.71% from other races, and 5.39% from two or more races. 4.15% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 29,777 households out of which 41.30% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.70% are married couples living together, 9.30% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.10% are non-families. 23.60% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.60% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.68 and the average family size is 3.20.
