The current national flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina was adopted on February 4, 1998 replacing a different flag that served as flag from independence. The current flag has a yellow triangle on top of a blue field, with a set of stars along the edge of the triangle. The three points of the triangle stand for the three-nation theory of Bosnia (Croat, Muslim, and Serb). The stars are meant to be infinite in number and thus they continue from top to bottom.
