Francis Maude

Sir Francis Anthony Aylmer Maude (born July 4, 1953) is an English politician and Tory member of Parliament for Horsham, and a member of the Privy Council.

He was MP for North Warwickshire from 1983 to 1992, serving as a junior minister, but lost his seat. He was re-elected in 1997 to another seat, and became Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer under William Hague. He is now a backbencher, and managed Michael Portillo's bid for the leadership of the Tory Party in 2001.

He is the son of Angus Maude, a Tory minister himself.
