Gene Kranz

Eugene F. "Gene" Kranz was best known as a NASA flight controller during the Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo projects. Distinctive for his buzz-cut hair, white vests, and straight-talking demeanor, Kranz was portrayed with much zeal by Ed Harris during the movie Apollo 13.
