George Young (politician)

Sir George Young (born July 16, 1941) is an English politician, and Tory member of Parliament for Hampshire North West. He is a patron of the Tory Reform Group.

He entered Parliament in the 1974 election, and served as a minister under Margaret Thatcher and John Major. He was Secretary of State for Transport from 1995 to 1997. He is a One Nation Tory, and was in William Hague's shadow cabinet until 2000.
