Guadalajara, Mexico
Guadalajara is a large city in the Central-Pacific region of
Mexico, located at 20.67°N, 103.35°W. It is regarded as the second most important city in Mexico. Guadalajara is the capital of the state of
Jalisco. In
2003 Guadalajara had an estimated population of 1,665,800 people.
The Metropolitan Zone of Guadalajara includes the municipalities of Zapopan, Tlaquepaque, Tonala, Tlajomulco, an Ixtlahuacan.
Guadalajara is dubbed "La Perla de Occidente" (Spanish for "Western Pearl") and "La Perla Tapatia".
