Bay County, Michigan. As of the
2000 census, the township had a total population of 9,902.

\nAccording to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 84.2
km² (32.5
mi²). 70.1 km² (27.0 mi²) of it is land and 14.2 km² (5.5 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 16.82% water.

2000, there are 9,902 people, 4,137 households, and 2,610 families residing in the township. The
population density is 141.3/km² (366.0/mi²). There are 4,341 housing units at an average density of 62.0/km² (160.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the township is 95.05% White, 1.33%
African American, 0.48%
Native American, 0.69%
Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.75% from other races, and 1.70% from two or more races. 2.58% of the population are

There are 4,137 households out of which 28.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 48.5% are married couples living together, 10.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 36.9% are non-families. 32.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 14.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.31 and the average family size is 2.92.
