Hardbound

A hardbound book is one created with a style of bookbinding with hard covers and pages which are stitched in the spine.

Hardbound books are generally more durable than paperback books since the hard covers protect the inside pages, and are also generally more expensive than paperback books. Many books are published in hardbound editions first, only later released as paperbacks.
