Harry Smith (1923-1991) is an Americann Bohemian, artist, eccentric. He is best remembered for assembling the Anthology of American Folk Music, a collection of early folk, blues and country music. This seminal document of the folk & blues revival remains an inspiring testament to both American country culture and the possibilities of anthology as an artform in itself. A fourth, previously unknown installment of the anthology has become available.
Harry Smith is also an on-air television personality for the CBS network in the United States.
