Heathrow, London
Heath Row was a small
hamlet in the former county of
Middlesex, on the outskirts of
London, England that was obliterated for construction of the
London Heathrow Airport in
1945. The hamlet was situated a mile and a half east from
Longford. This may be where the airport derives its name. The hamlet has previously had the names Hithero, Hetherow, Hetherowfeyld and Hitherowe.
