High-energy astronomy
High energy astronomy is the study of
astronomical objects at wavelengths associated with high
energies. It includes
X-ray astronomy,
gamma-ray astronomy, and extreme
UV astronomy, as well as studies of
neutrinos and
cosmic rays.
Astronomical objects commonly studied at high energies may include black holes, neutron stars, active galactic nuclei, supernova remnants, Gamma ray burst, and quasars.
