HMAS Canberra

Royal Australian Navy have borne the name
Canberra, the capital city of
Australia.
The first
HMAS Canberra was a County class
cruiser.
The second
HMAS Canberra (02) is an Oliver Hazard Perry class guided missile armed
frigate laid down by Todd Shipyards at
Seattle in
Washington on
1 March 1978, launched on
1 December 1978 and commissioned on
21 March 1981.
